OLIVIA KIM AND RUTH HILL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been selected as the SCAC Women’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, February 6 to Sunday, February 12. SCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 2
Kim, a sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., and Hill, a sophomore from Abilene, Texas, led 16th-ranked Trinity to a split over the last week, shutting out Concordia (TX) and falling only to NCAA I Incarnate Word. Kim and Hill won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles to start off the 9-0 win over Concordia, then lost a tough 8-4 decision to the No. 1 doubles team of NCAA I UIW. The Tiger duo is 3-1 overall this season.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Anamaria Gonzalez and senior Alejandra Lopez of St. Thomas played as the top line for the Celts over the weekend in matches at Mary Hardin Baylor and SCAC rival Southwestern. Lopez and Gonzalez went 1-1 on the week, dominating their opponent at UMHB with a convensive, 8-2, victory.
