JACKSON WHITE OF TRINTIY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Boerne, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 4)
White led the 5k race from start to finish, winning the event by nearly 30 seconds in hot and humid conditions. His finishing time of 15:50 (averaging 5:05/mile) is a massive PR, whose previous best in the event was 16:27.
White led the Tigers to a win in the dual meet against Texas Lutheran as the team finished with 17 points overall.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior James Urbina of St. Thomas set a blistering pace at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede with a time of 20:47.42, earning a crucial 10th place finish in the men's 4-mile race.
