GERARDO CARDOZA OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a junior catcher from Misson, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for games played from Saturday, February 5 through Sunday, February 13. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 1
Cardoza finished the weekend with seven hits in 14 at bats (.500 batting average), including two triples and five runs driven in, to propel the Mountaineers to two wins in their opening three-game series against Stevenson University.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior first baseman Preston Ludwick of Centenary was red hot at the plate in the Gents two games at the Millsaps College Baseball Classic, batting .600 (6-for-10) with four RBI, a double, and a run scored. Ludwick started off the week hot as well as he went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Centenary's 2-1 home win over ETBU on Monday, Feb. 7.
