RUTH HILL AND LAUREN TIN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been selected as the SCAC Women’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 3 to Sunday, March 9. SCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 6
Hill, a senior from Abilene, Texas, and Tin, a first-year from Austin, Texas, led the 10th-ranked Trinity women's tennis to a pair of wins against nationally-ranked teams last week, sweeping #23 Gustavus Adolphus and edging #12 MIT 4-3. The Tiger doubles duo won both of their matches at line three last week.
Hill and Tin opened with a 6-3 win against Gustavus that clinched the doubles point, then against MIT, the Trinity tandem won 6-2 to split the first two doubles matches off the court.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Annie Nelligan and senior Emily Saniseng of Ozarks posted a 6-3 doubles win against University of Olivet on Sunday at the No. 1 position. Senior McKenzie Carroll and sophomore Kartiza Bencomo of McMurry posted a victory at the No. 1 line, defeating the duo from Austin College, 6-2. to help the War Hawks secure the doubles point in a narrow 4-3 loss to the 'Roos on Thursday.
