In a tough weekend against highly-ranked teams, Hughes, a graduate student from Austin, Texas, and Kim, a senior from Phoenix, Ariz., came out of the weekend with a 2-1 record. To open the Groundhog Palooza against #10 Washington & Lee, Hughes and Kim took their line two doubles match, 6-2. Then, the following day against #17 Christopher Newport, the duo took another win by the very same score. This season, Kim and Hughes are 5-1 in line two doubles play.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Erika Synoski and senior Lydia Lee of Southwestern went 1-1 on the week, picking up a victory at No. 1 doubles against Erin Jarvis and Lily Perrin of 26th-ranked Grinnell, 6-4, on Saturday.
