Audrey Jacobson, Trinity University, Swimmer of the Week (Week 11)

AUDREY JACOBSON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Dallas, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Friday, January 24 to Sunday, January 26. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 11)

Jacobson recorded four second place finishes in Trinity’s meet against Division I Incarnate Word last weekend. She swam a 5:12.89 in the 500-yard freestyle and a 1:57.15 in the 200-yard freestyle. In relay events, Jacobson split 25.31 on the 200 freestyle relay and 28.46 on the backstroke leg of the 200 medley relay. 

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Chloe Weathers of Ozarks recorded a trio of first-place finishes last weekend in the Eagles Senior Day meet against Hardin University. Weathers finished first in the 50-yard backstroke (31.05), 100-yard backstroke (1:09.09) and the 200-yard IM (2:31.43). Weathers was also the leadoff led in the winning 200-yard medley relay with a split of 31.56. First-year swimmer Valentina Garcia-Lara of St. Thomas had a breakout performance, shattering her lifetime best in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:12.78, over two seconds off her previous PR.
