KENDALL ACCETTA OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Portland, Ore., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 5)
Accetta finished as the second collegiate runner in a field of Division II competition at the Ted Castaneda Classic. Her time, 22:11 for the 6k, was a new all-time personal best and she led the Colorado College Tigers to a second-place team finish in the meet.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Paige Tangney of Trinity led the Tiger women's team at the UIW Invitational on Saturday morning, finishing 22nd overall in a time of 23:44.7. She eclipsed her season-best time by more than a minute to pace Trinity in a field of mostly Division I competition. Sophomore Elizabeth Stepaniak of St. Thomas ran a 6:53 pace over the 6K event at the UIW invitational. Her 25:39 finish secured a 63rd place finish against a field including Division I, II, and III programs.
