LEIGHTON GRAHAM OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Boston, Mass., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 6 through Sunday, March 12. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 2
Graham finished third in both the discus and shot put last Saturday at the Oxy Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic. He posted a season-best throw of 131'2" in the discus, and threw 42'4.25" in the shot put.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Kevin Brown of Centenary posted a third-place finish in the javelin with a toss of 38.42m (126' 0") at the Hendrix College Invitational. Senior Liam Hamway of Dallas tossed a PR of 10.18m in the shot put to qualify for the finals, where he once again threw a 10.18m to place seventh out of the 12 competing amongst the DIII, NAIA, and D2 contingent.
