MABEL GARDNER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Missoula, Mont., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 28 through Sunday, April 3. (SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 5)
Gardner vaulted a person best of 3.10m last weekend at the Central Nebraska Challenge. The vault tied the CC program record and is currently the top mark in the SCAC.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Julissa Rodriguez of Texas Lutheran posted personal best in three of four throws last weekend at the David Noble Relays. In the discus, she finished ninth overall with a mark of 37.75, currently third in the SCAC. She also finished ninth in the hammer (41.55 – 2nd in the SCAC) and 15th in the javelin (27.74m – 5th in the SCAC).Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
