Tomlinson made Colorado College and SCAC history over the weekend, she became the third player in program history and fifth in SCAC history to surpass 1,000 career rebounds after putting up a season high 18 rebounds in a win over Pacific Lutheran. Against the Lutes, she also racked up a season-high 29 points, four blocks, two assists, shot 7-for-8 from the free throw line and 10 offensive boards. Tomlinson led the Tigers to a 2-1 week, including a perfect 2-0-mark last weekend in the Colorado College Fall Classic after putting up 27 points and 16 rebounds against No. 10 Gustavus Adolphus last Monday to kick off the week in the Tigers only loss of the season thus far. The New York native averaged 25 points, 16.7 rebounds, three assists and 2.3 blocks over the three games. Tomlinson has led CC to a 6-1 record through seven games, its best start since the 1976-77 season.
Sophomore forward Rylee McDonald of Austin College had a career day in a home win against Howard Payne, going for career-highs with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. She hit 9-of-15 shots overall and had only one turnover against her six helpers. Senior guard Adryan Alvarez of Dallas led all scorers in a tough loss against Howard Payne last Wednesday, pouring in 20 points and grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists. It marked the second time in four games Alvarez has reached the 20-point plateau this season. Sophomore forward Kya Bradshaw of Schreiner scored 15 points on 54.5 percent shooting (6-for-11) and grabbed five rebounds and was credited with two blocks in a tight five point loss to Texas AM San Antonio. Sophomore guard Macie Whitfield of St. Thomas led the Celts against Div. I McNeese St., scoring 13 points on 55.6 percent shooting (5-for-9) and grabbed seven rebounds, dished out one assist, grabbed one steal and added one block. Sophomore guard Adrianna McCoy of Southwestern pushed the Pirates to their first home win this season with an eighteen-point performance against the LeTourneau University Yellow Jackets. McCoy went 6-for-13 from the field and 6-for-8 from the free-throw line, adding two assists, two rebounds, and one steal for the game. Senior guard Kailee Mulkey of Texas Lutheran recorded her first double-double of the season last Monday to complete the Bulldogs sweep of their three-game west coast trip. Mulkey poured in 16 points on 50 percent shooting (5-for-10) and grabbed 11 rebounds, credited three steals and dished out two steals.
