Southwestern (15-6) picked up two of the three doubles points as Hunter Bajoit and Steven Tibbetts defeated Lucas Pastor and Alex Kley at No. 2 and Oscar Roy and Carlos Rodero picked up an 8-4 victory over CC's Nate Beerman and Jacob Adas at the No. 3 line. The Tigers got their point at the No. 1 line with Jack Delafield and Andrew Kaelin taking a hard-fought 8-7 (7-3) win over the Pirates' Vesko Lekovic and Hemanshu Rambojun.
Once the matched moved to singles play, the 23rd-ranked Pirates took care of business and picked up the three points they needed to clinch with wins at the No. 1, 2 and 5 lines. Tibbetts provided the clincher at No. 2 singles, defeating the Tigers' Kaelin, 6-4, 6-1.

Southwestern advances to face Trinity in tomorrow's championship match, which is currently scheduled for Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Schreiner's Cree Tennis Center. The two have played in the last six contested men's title matches with Trinity winning all six. No championship was held in 2020. Colorado College, which slipped to 12-10 with the loss, will take on St. Thomas at 9 a.m. at the H-E-B Municipal Tennis Center with the winner earning third place accolades.
