SUWANEE, Ga. – Three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's and women's soccer programs have been named to the 2023-2024 United Soccer Coaches All-Academic team, it was announced on Thursday. Complete Release from USC website
The Colorado College men led all SCAC programs with an impressive 3.74 GPA, tied for the third highest among all 173 men’s programs honored across all three divisions. The Tigers’ selection marks the 18th consecutive year and 24th overall in program history.
On the women’s side, Trinity secured its third straight honor and fourth since 2019 with an overall team GPA of 3.67. Texas Lutheran rounds out the SCAC honorees, earning the award for the first time since the 2019-20 season after posting a 3.12 team GPA.
A total of 416 soccer teams (173 men, 243 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year. Of that total, 107 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
