KENDALL ACCETTA OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Portland, Ore., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 7 through Sunday, March 13. (SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 2)
Accetta finished third in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Oxy Distance Classic and Spring Break Classic. Her time of 11:11.04 smashed the school record and currently ranks first in the conference.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Anna Wilgenbusch of Dallas, competing against athletes from the NCAA Division 1 and NAIA levels, placed first in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:03.10 breaking her own school record that she set in 2019. This is the first time she competed in the event since that season.
