Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior defender Luke Chandler of Trinity spent all 180 minutes on the pitch in the Tigers' wins over Texas Lutheran and Southwestern this weekend. Against Southwestern, Chandler anchored a Trinity defense that held Southwestern to just two shots on goal. Against Texas Lutheran, Chandler hit the game-winning goal with just 40 seconds left on the clock. Senior defender Colin Cosby of University of the Ozarks pushed the Eagles to a 2-1-0 record during the week behind a strong performance in the backline. Cosby was all over the back preventing goal opportunities in the Eagles' wins against University of Dallas and Austin College, and played the full 90 minutes of each match. Sophomore goalkeeper Brandon Walker of McMurry had 21 saves on the weekend, including nine while allowing just one goal in the War Hawks' huge 2-1 victory over defending SCAC tournament champion St. Thomas. Sophomore defender Hayden McConnell of Centenary scored his first-career goal in the Gents' 3-1 victory at Dallas on Sunday.
