MADDY MEISTER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a first-year player from New York, N.Y., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 14 to Sunday, March 20. (SCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 7)
In CC’s two matches against nationally-ranked competition this weekend, Meister locked down wins at No. 4 singles in each. The freshman posted 6-4, 6-3 victories in each match, personally securing two of the Tigers’ three points earned on the weekend.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Alli Ziehm of Southwestern posted a 2-0 record at No. 6 singles over the week against No. 19 Skidmore and No. 12 Mary Washington. She defeated Skidmore’s Ella Provost 6-1, 6-4, and Mary Washington’s Emily Beckner 6-2, 6-0. First-year Ruth Hill of Trinity improved to 8-2 in singles action this season against NCAA III competition with back-to-back straight-sets victories over Whitman and Schreiner. Hill’s 6-2, 6-0 win in the SCAC contest continued her undefeated campaign in line-two play, now 3-0 this season.
