SHERMAN, Texas -- The third-seed Colorado College opened play at the Southern College Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Championship with a 5-0 quarterfinal victory over the sixth-seed University of St. Thomas Friday evening on the Jordan Family Courts at the Russell Tennis Center on the campus of Austin College. Colorado College upped its record to 7-12 and will take on second-seeded Southwestern University, Saturday night on the indoor courst at Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex at SMU in the semifinals. Texas Lutheran finishes the 2024 campaign with a 8-8 record.
CC opened Friday's quarterfinal by sweeping all three doubles matches, highlighted by Aiden Little and Andrew Kaelin at the top doubles line and Nate Beerman and Nick Anderson at No. 2 doubles earning 8-2 wins respectively.
Anderson made it 4-0 CC when he won his No. 6 singles match, 6-2, 6-3, over the Celts' Hunter-Kemball Cook, and Little clinched the match for the Tigers with a 6-1, 6-2 decision over Pooya Tork. It marks the second-staright year Little has punched the Tigers' ticket into the semfinals, having clinched last year's quarterfinal match against TLU.

Colorado College advances to face second-seeded Southwestern in Saturday's semifinal round. It will mark the sixth time in SCAC Tournament history the two teams have squared off. Colroado College holds a 3-2 advantage, however Southwestern has won the previous two matches. This marks CC's third consecutive trip to the semifinals on the men's side.
