"To be named to the CSC Academic All-America Team is one of the most prestigious recognitions an NCAA student-athlete can earn. Curtis is a most deserving recipient," men's soccer head coach Scott Palguta said. Curtis leads by example and makes those around him better—he's a true leader in every way."
Hale helped lead CC to their first appearance in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament since 1992.
This season, Hale was named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Year and a United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-Region X First Team selection after playing and starting in all 21 games for the Tigers.
He logged 1,934 minutes, the most of any player on the team, and ended the year with eight points (two goals and two assists). The star defender assisted in the game-winning goal against Ohio Northern in the Sweet 16 game on Nov. 18.
