In his first collegiate meets, Colgan swept all the breaststroke events against Trinity and Southwestern over the weekend. He posted individual-best times of 58.58 in the 100 breast and 2:12.81 in the 200 breast, and was a member of the first place finishing 400 medley relay against Trinity where he split 57.10 in the 100 breast.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Ethan Spillers of University of the Ozarks placed first in the 100 breast (1:02.99), 200 breast (2:20.02), 200 IM (2:07.36) and 400 IM (4:40.79) in the two-day dual against Centenary over the weekend. First-year swimmer Luke Fender of Trinity started his college career off with two big individual wins, and contributed to a relay victory in a dual against Colorado College. Fender took control of the 1,000 and landed himself sixth on Trinity's Top 10 times list with a time of 9:51.12. He followed that swim with a 500 free victory in a time of 4:46.49, and he also led off the winning 400 freestyle relay in 48.81. First-year swimmer Trey White of Centenary had an impressive weekend for the Gents against the University of the Ozarks in a pair of SCAC dual meets. White claimed two wins, two runner-up finishes, and had two other top-five finishes as he won the 200 free (1:57.79) and 500 free (5:16.92) and was runner-up in both the 200 back (2:17.63) and 400 IM (4:44.93). Sophomore Eli Allen of Southwestern anchored the winning 200 medley relay with a 50 free split of 21.29 in Saturday's dual meet against Colorado College. He also won the 50 free with a time of 21.45.
