ANNIE BOWENS OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Westport, Conn., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, November 29 to Sunday, December 5. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 7)
Bowens was a major factor in Colorado College’s win last Saturday over Div. II Colorado State-Pueblo. She won both of her individual events and was instrumental in a pair of relay victories. Bowens split 24.9 to anchor the medley relay to secure the win by .06 and then led off the winning 200 free relay quartet as well. Individually, she led 1-2 finishes for CC in the 50 free (25.06) and 100 free (56.71).
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Lorin Mow of McMurry lifted the Warhawks to a dual meet victory last weekend against Austin College, winning the 100- and 200-yard free in personal best times of 1:00.19 and 2:09.96 respectively. She also took fist in the 200-yard fly, hitting the wall in a time of 2:41.31. Junior Rosie Wade of the University of Ozarks led the Eagles to a second-place finish at the Hendrix Invite last weekend. Wade won four events including the 500-yard free (5:26.28), 200-yard free (2:01.69) and the 1,650-yard free (19:13.10).
