KATE BRUSH OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Greenwich, Conn., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Friday, December 2 to Saturday, December 3. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 7)
Brush scored two wins and a second-place finish in the Tigers' meet with D2 Colorado School of Mines. She was first in the 200 free (2:00.82), and the 100 fly (59.44), and just minutes after completing the butterfly, swam to a second place finish in the 500 free.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Sammi Thiele of Austin College continued her outstanding season with several wins against McMurry on Saturday, taking part in a pair of relay victories and adding two individual wins in the meet. She was part of the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays, and took individual first place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.31) and 100 freestyle (55.65).
