Josh Fry, Colorado College, Men's Track Athlete of the Week (Week 7)

JOSH FRY OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Bethesda, Md., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 5 through Sunday, April 11.

Fry ran an altitude converted 3:50.99 in the 1500 meters and 1:55.01 in the 800 meters. These are both SCAC leading times and his 1500 is now No. 2 on the DIII performance list.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year James Urvina of St. Thomas took first place in his heat in the 1500m with a time of 4:12.79 ranking him seventh place in the conference. The next day he took second place in his heat of the 800m with a time of 2:01.17, ranking him sixth on the SCAC performance list. First-year Nico Walz of Dallas made his freshman debut in the 10,000 meters and placed seventh out of 10 runners in a mostly NCAA Division II field. He finished with a time of 36:35.47. Senior Seve Rodriguez of Trinity ran a season best in the 400 and had a personal best in the 400 hurdles at the UIW Invitational. His mark of 50.13 in the 400 placed him 14th and his time of 55.23 in the 400 hurdles placed him eighth overall at the meet. Seve currently has the top mark in the SCAC and is 20th in Division III.
