Colorado College's Hum Wins SCAC Men's Tennis Elite 19 Award

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- In an announcement made today from conference headquarters, Colorado College's Sam Hum was named the 2021 SCAC Men's Tennis Elite 19 award winner. 

Hum, a senior from San Diego, Calif., currently holds a 3.923 GPA in Computer Science and earned First Team All-SCAC honors this season. He finished the year with a 3-2 overall record at the top singles line. Hum is the Hum is the fifth different CC student-athlete to earn an Elite 19 honor this year, but the first male athlete since John Sutro won the Men’s Lacrosse Elite 19 honor in 2020.

Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each of the league's 19 sponsored sports as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First, Second or Third Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
