SUWANEE, Ga. – Colorado College junior guard Audrey Bayston was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the week of February 5th, it was announced by D3hoops.com.
Bayston averaged 20-points in a pair of crucial home wins last weekend as the Tigers claw for SCAC Tournament seeding, including a game-high 23 in the win over previously undefeated Trinity, 70-64. Bayston was strong in the second half against the Texas Tigers, scoring 15 of her 23 points after halftime. In addition to her work offensively, Bayston averaged 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.5 steals per game. Bayston’s efforts have helped lift CC to its current eight game SCAC winning streak, the longest such streak since the Tigers joined the SCAC for the 2007-08 season. Last year Colorado College ended the regular season on a seven-game conference winning streak, the program’s previous high mark until this year.
Currently, Bayston ranks seventh in the SCAC averaging 12.2 points per game. Her 256 total points is sixth best in the league, while her 39 three-point field goals made ranks fifth.
Bayston is the first SCAC women’s student athlete to earn D3hoops.com National TOTW recognition since Centenary College’s Destini Powell was recognized in week four of the 2021-22 season.
