SUWANEE, Ga. – Colorado College senior center Zoë Tomlinson was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the week of January 19th, it was announced Tuesday by D3hoops.com.
Tomlinson had a historic weekend. On Friday, she became the all-time leading rebounder in Colorado College history after grabbing 14 rebounds against Concordia (TX) in a winning effort. On Sunday, she tied her single-game career high in blocks and steals (4), leading the Tigers to a 70-51 over McMurry. For the first time in her career, Tomlinson played back-to-back 30-plus-point games. She finished the weekend averaging a remarkable 35.0 points on a blistering 61.4 precent shooting, 16.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 2.5 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game. She had double-doubles in each game, giving her 11 on the season, tied for third in the country. Tomlinson, who currently ranks fifth in all of NCAA Div. III, averaging 14.0 rebounds per game, is now second in SCAC history with 1,119 career rebounds, just 59 shy of tying current record hold Annie Bourne of Southwestern (2011/12—2014/15).
Earlier this week, Tomlinson was also named SCAC Player of the Week.
The Team of the Week is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 28th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
This marks the second D3hoops.com National TOTW honor this year for Tomlinson and third of her career. She was honored earlier this season in December and also back in January of the 2023-24 season. Her honor is the fourth different Team of the Week honor for an SCAC Women’s Basketball athlete, most recently Centenary’s Shyanne Phillips was honored in week seven.
