CADE THUMANN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Katy, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, January 17 to Sunday, January 23. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 9)
Thumann was outstanding in the pool last weekend, leading the Tigers to an overall team victory at the CC Classic Invitational winning multiple individual events and swimming a leg on a pair of winning relays. He hit the wall first in the 500-yard free with a time of 4:59.48, the 200-yard fly (2:00.22) and the 200-yard free (1:48.74) and swam a leg on the winning 4x400 and 4x200 relay teams.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Sam Anderson of Southwestern earned a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke in the Pirates’ dual meet against UT-Permian Basin with a winning time of 2:13.87.
