ANDERS ERICKSON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior attacker from Lone Tree, Colo., has been named the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 15 through Sunday, March 21.
Erickson scored seven goals and dished out six assists while leading CC to a 2-1 record last week. Erickson started the week with four goals and three assists during the 18-8 victory at Colorado State University-Pueblo. In Friday's 10-8 win at St. Mary's (Ind.), which is receiving votes in the USILA Division III poll, Erickson led the Tigers with two goals and two assists. During Sunday's 19-3 loss at No. 3 Salisbury, he had a goal and an assist.
For the season, Erickson leads CC with 21 goals, 17 assists and 38 points.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior attacker Zac Asbury of Southwestern led the Pirates with five points, scoring three goals with two assists in a big 11-10 win over Illinois Wesleyan. Asbury finished the weekend with five goals and three assists in two matches. Freshman midfielder Wilkenson Julien of Centenary scored two of the team's three goals on four shots on net in the Gents' 20-3 home loss to Hendrix on Thursday.
