BAILEY MEYER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior defender from Southlake, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 25th through Sunday, October 1st. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 5)
Meyer led the Tiger women's soccer team to a 1-1 record last week, falling to undefeated Mary Hardin-Baylor 1-0, but recording a 4-0 shutout win over Texas Lutheran on Friday. Meyer scored a goal and added an assist in Friday's win over TLU, limiting the Bulldogs to just three total shots in the game. She also led a Tiger defense that allowed just three shots on goal in Monday's loss to UMHB.
Junior goalkeeper Kenedie Lane of Austin College notched her third shutout of the season last weekend in a 2-0 win over Dallas and finished the week with a total of 17 saves. Lane’s efforts have vaulted her to third in the SCAC with 47 saves on the season.
