KAITY WARD OF THE TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Phoenix, Ariz., has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, September 19th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 3)
Ward, for the second-straight week led the SCAC in points after helping lift the Tigers to a perfect 5-0 record to open the season following a convincing 6-0 victory over Howard Payne last Saturday. In the only fixture of the week for Trinity, Ward registered two goals, including the game-winner to finish the week with four total points. She now tied for the SCAC lead with four goals on the season and leads all players with 11 points on the year.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Ashley Walbrick of Schreiner started both matches last week for the Mountaineers, playing 159 of a possible 180 minutes.
