ALEJANDRA SANCHEZ DE LA FUENTE MOLINO OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Marbella, Spain, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Sunday, September 22 through Tuesday, September 24. SCAC Golf Release (Week 2)
Molino shot a total score of 150 (74-76) at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational to tie for second place, finishing just five shots off the leader. She carded three of the team's five birdies on Tuesday and finished with five birdies total over the 36-hole event. Her efforts led the 14th-ranked Tigers to a fourth-place team finish at the event.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Samantha Miethke of Concordia (Texas) secured finished tied for second individually to lead the Tornados at the Lyon Scots Fall Invitational. Miethke fired rounds of 80 and 82 to finish with a two-day score of 162 (+18), highlighted by a birdie on the first hole of her second round to secure a three-way tie for second.
