JESSICA MASON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Westminster, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through Monday, April 8. SCAC Golf Release (Spring - Week 8)
Mason won the individual title at the West Region Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club after shooting an even-par 144 on the par-72 course. Mason carded a tournament-best 70 in the second round to earn the one-shot victory. She had four birdies in each round and led the field with her total of eight for the day and helped lead the 15th-ranked Tigers to a runner-up team finish.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Ryleigh Erickson of Southwestern led the way for the Pirates at the West Region Invitational, posting a two-round score of 143 (77-76) on Monday to finish at nine over par. She finished tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard. Junior Braydee Frederick of Texas Lutheran paced the Bulldogs over the course of Monday's 36-holes at the West Region Invitational with a 25-over 169 score Monday to finish 14th.
