ALEJANDRA SANCHEZ DE LA FUENTE MOLINO OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Marbella, Spain, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through Tuesday, March 21. SCAC Golf Release (Spring - Week 5)
Sanchez De la Fuente Molino finished as tournament runner-up at the Texas Cup on Monday after posting a total score of 150 for the event - seven shots behind the individual winner. She tied for the tournament lead in par-3 scoring for the 36-hole event, while also tying for second with 21 total pars and led the 20th ranked Tigers to a runner-up team finish.

Junior Ryleigh Erickson of Southwestern posted rounds of 81, 76 and 75 to finish tied for 29th in the 120-player field at the prestigious Jekyl Island Collegiate in Jekly Island, Ga. Her final round 75 moved her five places up the individual leaderboard. Sophomore Kimberly Burch of Dallas followed her opening round 77 with an 83 on Monday to finish tied for fifth in the 53-player field at the Texas Cup. Burch was tied for second in Par 3 scoring and was in the top 10 in both total pars (16) and birdies (5). Senior Wynter Flores of Texas Lutheran paced the Bulldogs at the Hal Sutton Invitational, firing a final round 84 to finish tied for seventh place overall with a final tally of 167 (+23). First-year Kaylee Roberts of Centenary finished in 27th place at 74-over par 218 with rounds of 104 and 114 at the Hal Sutton Invitational.
