Addie Putnam, Trinity University, Player of the Week (Week 1)

ADDIE PUTNAM OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior guard from Scottsdale, Ariz., has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Tuesday, November 8 through Sunday, November 13. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 1)

Putnam
led the No. 5/6 Trinity women's basketball team to a pair of road wins over the weekend at Birmingham-Southern's Richard Dardenne Memorial Classic. Putnam and the Tigers opened the season on Friday night against hosting BSC, promptly shattering several school records in a 140-87 victory. Putnam was a perfect 11-for-11 from the field in her return from injury prior to the 2021-22 season, breaking the Trinity record for the most field goals made and equalling the SCAC mark established by Millsaps' Jessica Dunlap who accomplished the same in a Jan. 20, 2002 contest at Hendrix. The 140 points also marked the most points scored in school history, breaking last year's 122-point output. Putnam finished with a career-high 26 points to go with four rebounds, four steals, and three assists in the game. Putnam also led Trinity to an 80-58 win over Millsaps the next day, connecting on 6-of-9 from the field for a 15-point afternoon during which she also added four assists and a pair of steals.
