EMMA HAGAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Overland Park, Kan., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, October 25 to Sunday, October 31. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 3)

Hagan raced to two relay wins and two individual wins against UT-Permian Basin on Saturday. The sophomore was the anchor on the 400 yard medley relay and the second leg on the 400 yard freestyle team. Hagan took first in the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle with times of 24.77 and 53.38.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Sammie Thiele of Austin College had six great swims at the Hendrix Relay and Classic competitions this weekend resulting in six first place finishes. She swam a 1:09.54 on the 3x100 breast relay team and a 1:10.41 (breast) as a member of the 400 medley relay. She posted a 1:05.40 on the 400 IM relay and a :32.15 as a member of the 200 medley relay. In two individual events, she posted a 2:18.91 in the 200 IM and a 2:30.23 in the 200 breast. First-year Maddie Vacula of Centenary helped the Ladies with two individual wins and assisted both the medley and free relay take top honors. In the 1000 free, she took two seconds off her time from last week with a finish of 11:13.58. In the 200 IM, she won with a time of 2:24.53. First-year Faith Coffin of University of the Ozarks helped the Eagles to a first place finish in the 800 freestyle relay at Friday's Hendrix Relays. She also anchored the 500 freestyle relay and led off the 200 freestyle relay with both squads producing wins over Austin College. On Saturday at the Hendrix Classic, Coffin led the Eagles with first place finishes over both Austin College and Hendrix in the 200 free (2:05.69) and the 100 free (58.01). She also led off the winning 400 free relay in 57.26 (3:53.52). Both the relay lead off leg and the 400 free relay times were new school records. First-year Lorin Mow of McMurry continued her success in the 100-yard free, beating out two Centenary swimmers for a first-place finish with a time of 1:00.49. Mow also earned a close second in the 200 fly (2:36.23).
