Senior Ezra Acero of Texas Lutheran was the pole vault champion and runner-up in the javelin at the Southwestern/Cen Tex Invitational. He won the pole vault with a jump of 15' 5" and threw a school record throw of 57.32 meters (188' 1") in the javelin. The pole vault mark is currently No. 2 nationally and the javelin mark is third. Senior Jamal Maxey of Southwestern finished in second overall in long jump at the Southwestern/Cen Tex Invitational, posting a leap of 6.80 meters.
