Tomlinson was stellar over the weekend, leading the Tigers to their 10th straight win and a program-record 21st win this season. The New York native averaged 26.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per game, while averaging just 23.5 minutes per game in wins over Centenary and Ozarks. Tomlinson produced her fourth 30-point effort of the season in the Tigers win over the Eagles on Sunday, which secured CC their 10th win a row, the longest streak since 1976-77. She is third in the nation with 19 double-doubles.
Senior forward Destiny Mathews of Concordia lifted the Tornados to a pair of SCAC victories last week, posting a double-double in both games. Mathews averaged 24 points on 44.4 percent shooting and 16 rebounds per game. She also dished out two assists and grabbed one steal per game to help the Tornados pick up wins against Austin College and Dallas. Junior guard Jordan Bravo of McMurry averaged 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game last week in a pair of wins over Dallas and Austin College. Bravo was deadly from deep, connecting on 6-for-12 from beyond the arc. Junior guard Dalena Fisher of Ozarks averaged 16.5 points while hitting 52 percent from the floor over two games last week for the Eagles. She also shot a perfect 100 percent from free throw line (4-4). Fisher made a pair of three-pointers and scored 18 points against Colorado College and contributed 15 points against St. Thomas. Junior guard Brie Sosa of Schreiner averaged 17 points per game on 52 percent shooting to help the Mountaineers split a pair of home league contests last weekend. In the win over Southwestern, Sosa poured in 16 points on 75 percent shooting and dished out two assists in the victory. Junior forward Nora Aigberadion of St. Thomas shot an outstanding 80 percent from the field last week in a pair of wins for the Celts, extending their winning streak to nine, the lonest for the program since joining the SCAC (2019-20). Aigberadion averaged 9.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game last week in league play. First-year forward Zaria Solis of Texas Lutheran had a career weekend off the bench for the Bulldogs as she averaged a double-double (15 points and 11.5 rebounds) in addition to 2.5 blocks per game. She set new career-highs across the board while shooting 65 percent from the field to lead TLU to a 2-0 weekend including a win over rival Trinity. Senior guard Josie Napoli of Trinity averaged 20.5 points per game and shot 60 percent (15-of-25) from the field over the weekend, hitting 7-of-11 (63.6%) from three-point range. She also picked up a total of seven assists and seven steals in the two games. Napoli celebrated a Senior Night win over Southwestern with a 26-point game that included a 6-for-8 performance from beyond the arc, adding six assists and three steals to her impressive stat line. With her 41 points scored in the two games this weekend, Napoli also scored her 1,500th career point (currently 1,502).
