CHRISTINA STINSON OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a first-year from Cypress, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, February 28 through Sunday, March 6.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Anna Wilgenbusch of Dallas won the 10,000 meters at Mississippi College Season-Opener. Competing against NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA schools, she dominated her competition and broke the school record with a time of 39:31.18. First-year Kristin Lucero of Texas Lutheran notched a second place finish in the 5K at the Trinity Invite in a PR time of 19:25.84. She also finished ninth in the 1500 meters in another PR time of 5:07.46. Senior Sarah Endres of Schreiner finished sixth (fourth among D3 runners) in the 5K in a time of 20:31.56. Sophomore Emma Fowkes of Colorado College won the 400-meter hurdles race at the Ed Boitano Invitational with a time of 1:08.18. Her time currently ranks third nationally. Sophomore Madi Habeck of Trinity won the 800 at the Trinity Invitational with a new personal best time of 2:21.20. First-year Arden Neff of Southwestern finished third in the 400 hurdles (1:09.14).
