DILLAN WENDEL OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Boling, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 1 through Sunday, March 7.
Wendel topped the field at the Trinity Invitational in the men's 800 meter event. His time of 1:58.33 currently sits sixth overall in Division III. He also ran a sub 50 as part of his team's 4x400 relay.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Keaton Holt of Trinity won the 10000 meters in a new personal best time of 32:54.28 a the Trinity Invitational. Sophomore Lucas Wolf of St. Thomas posted a SCAC-best third place finish in the 5000 meter run at the Trinity Invitational. The time is currenlty the seventh-best in Division III.
