LUKE LAWHON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a first-year swimmer from El Paso, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Friday, January 31 to Sunday, February 2. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 12)
Lawhon posted individual victories in the 50 fly (24.26) and 100 breaststroke (1:01.76) in Friday's regular season final dual at McMurry. Additionally, his 50 free split in the 200 free relay was a 22.57.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Wes Scalf of McMurry was a two-event winner for the War Hawks in their home dual meet against Southwestern on Friday. Scalf took top honors in both the 50 free and 100 IM, with his 50 free time (22.14) was just off his season-best from the Trinity Invite earlier this season.
