RYLEIGH ERICKSON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from McAllen, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition from Wednesday, March 30 through Tuesday, April 5. SCAC Golf Release (Spring - Week 7)
Erickson shot rounds of 79 and 77 to finish at 156 (+12) and in fourth place in the 35-player field at the West Region Invitational to pace the Pirates.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Caterina Mora of Trinity led the Tigers at the West Region Invitational with a nine-over round on the par-72 course which landed in a tie for the 10th spot, just two shots behind the top five. Sophomore Audre Garza of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs, finishing the West Regional with a score of 24-over par and tied for 15th in the 36-hole tournament. First-year Shelby Vetere of Schreiner finished in a tie for 21st at 175 (+31) at the West Region Invitational following rounds of 86 and 89.Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
