Synoski posted a perfect 4-0 week at No. 2 singles, picking up wins over opponents from Concordia (6-0, 6-4), Hardin-Simmons (6-1, 6-2), Schreiner (6-1, 6-0) and East Texas Baptist (6-4, 6-3) as the Pirates swept the week to improve to 3-0 in SCAC play, and 9-7 overall.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Cate Cushing of Trinity went 1-1 in singles play as the 12th-ranked Trinity women's tennis team split matches against 15th-ranked Babson (Mass.) College and third-ranked Emory (Ga.) University over the weekend. Cushing began her week by winning the clincher in Trinity's 5-4 win over Babson on Saturday. She won the match 7-5, 4-6, 6-0 as the last match on the court at #6 singles, breaking a 4-4 tie that lifted the Tigers to victory. Cushing was also one of four Trinity singles players that went to a third set, but eventually fell 2-6, 7-5, 1-6 in the team's 7-2 loss at Emory. First-year Lindsay Beville of Texas Lutheran won 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 spot against Dallas as the Bulldogs earned the 8-1 conference victory.
