SEGUIN, Texas – A golden goal in the 109th minute off the foot of freshman Andrea Coppi sent third-seeded University of Dallas to its first SCAC Women's Soccer title game since 2012 as the Crusaders pulled out the 1-0 double overtime victory over defending tournament champion and second-seeded Southwestern University Saturday afternoon at TLU's Gustafson Field. A week after scoring both goals in UD's 2-1 quarterfinal win over St. Thomas, Coppi scored her second career game-winner in as many weeks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dallas outshot Southwestern, 16-12, in the game, including 5-2 in the two overtime periods.
- The Crusaders also had the advantage on corners, doubling up the Pirates, 6-3.
- Both keepers had six saves in the contest.

- Dallas will be making its second appearance in a SCAC women's soccer final. The Crusaders lost to Trnity in the 2012 championship game, 1-0. Like this year, UD defeated Southwestern in the semifinal round to reach the 2012 title game. And like 2012, Trinity will be awaiting them.
- The Crusaders are riding a four-game winning streak heading into the semifinals.
- In the 6-team post-season tournament era (2011-forward), Dallas is the fourth No. 3 seed to make the final. Each of the previous four were defeated in the championship match - and each by Trinity.
- Priot to today's defeat, Southwestern had advanced to the SCAC finals the last two seasons.
- Southwestern ends its season with an overall record of 6-2-0.
