Bryce Stiemert, Southwestern University, Men's Golf - Character & Community

BRYCE STIEMERT OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior on the men's golf team from Medford, Ore., has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Character and Community Male Student Athlete of the Week for the week beginning November 25.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Bryce is the President of the Student Government organization at Southwestern University where he directs the initiatives of the organization to represent students and better their lives on campus and in the greater Georgetown, Texas community. As President, he has led projects such as holiday food drives, an annual “Clean Up Georgetown” event, advocate for increases in student worker pay, and hosted public Q&A’s with the City of Georgetown Mayor and City Managers. Outside of golf and his role as President, Bryce is also a member of the economics society and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Bryce plans to use his degree in Psychology and Political Science to continue to better the communities he is apart of in the future.
