Sosebee went 2-0 at No. 6 singles for the Pirates, picking up victories over Schreiner's Matthew Caldwell, 6-1, 6-1, and East Texas Baptist's Erick Van Zyl, 6-3, 6-3, to lead his team to a pair of team wins on Saturday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Graduate Christian Kirk of Schreiner won his No. 1 singles match against Southwestern's Rishi Rajesh, 4-6, 6-1, 10-5, to provide the Mountaineers their only point of the match on Saturday. Senior Dorian Cudina of St. Thomas returned from injury and turned in a dominant performance at line five singles for the Celts against Mary Hardin-Baylor, defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-2, in Friday's match. Sophomore Xavier Cristan of Texas Lutheran won in the No. 2 spot against Dallas, 6-1, 7-6, as the Bulldogs earned the 7-2 conference victory over the Crusaders. Junior JP Ellwanger of Dallas picked up the 6-1, 6-3 victory at line one singles in Saturday's conference match against Texas Lutheran.
