Ziehm, a junior from Little Elm, Texas, and Kesterson, a junior from Fort Worth, Texas, earned two Southwestern points in No. 2 doubles over the weekend, helping the Pirates post wins over No. 12 Denison and No. 4 Kenyon. The 10th-ranked duo defeated Denison's Monique Brual and Caroline Lopez, 8-4, then scored an 8-2 win over Kenyon's Natalie Connelly and Erika Pontillo.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Ruth Hill and first-year Olivia Kim of Trinity went 3-1 from the second line of doubles in last weekend's trip to Southern California, picking up victories of 8-6 at CalTech, 8-2 at Occidental College and 8-7 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges between matches played Friday and Sunday. Sophomore Hananah Reyna and junior Victoria Morales of Schreiner picked up an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles in the team's victory over McMurry on Sunday.
