MADISON GOLDBERG OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, April 7 through Tuesday, April 13.
Goldberg led the way for the Pirates at the West Region Invitational, firing rounds of 76 and 79 to finish at 155 (+8), good for second place in the 36 player field. She was tied for the lead after Monday's opening round. Southwestern won the team title, finishing two shots ahead of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Senior Katelyn Smith of Schreiner paced the Mountaineers at the West Region Invitationial with a 17th-place finish after rounds of 89 and 85 for a two-day total of 174 (+32). Sophomore Wynter Flores of Texas Lutheran was tops among the Bulldog entrants at the West Region Invitational, carding rounds of 91 and 87 to finish at 178 and tied for 21st place.
