CALLE COLLIER OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman utility player from Columbus, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 27 through Sunday, March 5. SCAC Softball Release - Week 4
Collier was fantastic at the plate last week for Southwestern, leading the Pirates to their second doubleheader sweep of the season, knocking off Hanover, 5-3, and 10-1 in a pair of non-conference contests. She hit .500, going 3-for-6, with four RBI and three runs scored. Collier recorded a pair of extra base hits, one home run and one double to post a fantastic 1.167 slugging percentage.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior infielder Reagan Hillis of Texas Lutheran drove in a team-high three runs while maintaining a team-high .750 batting average – helping the Bulldogs sweep Hanover in non-conference action. First-year first baseman Carsyn Lee of Trinity led the Tigers to a Friday afternoon doubleheader split with Hanover last week, totaling two hits (.667 average), two runs, and two RBI over the doubleheader. She was 1-2 with two runs scored and two walks in the 5-0 victory for the Tigers.
