RYLEIGH ERICKSON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from McAllen, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, September 20 through Tuesday, September 26. SCAC Golf Release (Week 2)
Erickson finished sixth in the 75-player field at the Montgomery Intercollegiate hosted by Huntingdon (Ala.) College, firing rounds of 69 and 75 for a two-day total of 144 (E) to lead the Pirates to a 10th place finish at the competitive 15-team field. She was one of just six players who fired a round in the 60s, pouring in seven birdies in her opening round.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Emmie Rhude of Schreiner finished tied for 21st at the Bulldog Fall Invite, leading the Mountaineers with rounds of 84 and 74 for a two-day total of 158 (+14).
