Clemente went 2-0 in singles play this past week as the junior posted a 6-0, 6-0 win against his opponent from Mary Hardin-Baylor at No.5 singles on Wednesday, and a come-from-behind 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles to clinch the 4-3 win over UC Santa Cruz on Sunday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Eric Liao of Trinity went 1-1 in singles play over the weekend for the 25th-ranked Tiger men's tennis team, which faced off against two teams ranked in the top five nationally. Liao lost 6-2, 6-3 in Trinity's loss to #5 Case Western Reserve (Ohio) University, then came back with a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) win to score Trinity's only point against third-ranked Denison (Ohio) University.
