JOSHUA WILDE OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS, a senior from Jefferson City, Mo., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 3 through Sunday, March 9. SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 6

Wilde posted a 2-0 singles record at the No. 2 position last week on the team's undefeated trip to Mississippi. Against Blue Mountain University on Saturday, Wilde earned a hard-fought come-from-behind 0-6, 6-3, (12-10) victory which helped the Eagles to the 5-2 win. The following day, Wilde cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory against his opponent from University of Olivet, which led to a 7-0 sweep. 

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Shu-Lun Chang of Dallas went 2-0 at No. 1 singles for the Crusaders last week, which included picking up the team's only point in a 6-1 loss to ETBU, a 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 win against the Tigers' Erick Van Zyl. On Sunday, he cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Sul Ross' Gavin Leon to lead the Crusaders to a 7-0 sweep of the Lobos, the team's second victory of the season. Sophomore Joel Colunga of Austin College clinched the match against Division II opponent Sul Ross, leading the 'Roos to a 4-3 victory. Colunga won his deciding match by scores of 6-1, 6-4 playing on the No. 3 line. Junior Aashish Dhanani of Trinity scored one of the eighth-ranked Tigers' two singles victories in a narrow 4-3 loss to #26 Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) University on Wednesday, winning 7-5, 7-5 at line six to put Trinity in front 3-2 at the time. Sophomore Mason Bagwell of McMurry went 1-1 on the week, including a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Austin College's Trey Salyer at No. 1 singles in the team's 7-0 conference sweep of the 'Roos.
