TRINITY LE OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a freshman from League City, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, March 3 through Tuesday, March 9.
Le fired rounds of 75 and 84 for a two-day total of 159 (+15) to finish in a tie for third place in the 55-player field at the Schreiner Univeristy Spring Shootout. Le was just five shots off medalist Karen Alvarez' winning score of 154 and her first-round 75 tied for the low round of the tournament. The Celts finished in fifth place in the nine-team field.

Freshman Kiona Hsia of Trinity finished in a tie for fifth place individually to lead the Tigers, shooting 84-76 (160) overall, and coming up one stroke short of a tie for third. She carded four birdies in today's round and led the team with six total birdies in the tournament. Junior Madison Goldberg of Southwestern led the Pirates with a fifth-place individual finish, scoring rounds of 79 and 81 to finish tied at 160 with Trinity's Hsia at 16 over par. Senior Katelyn Smith of Schreiner paced the Mountaineers with a 171 (83-88) to finish in a tie for 19th at the Schreiner Spring Shootout. Freshman Audre Garza of Texas Lutheran finished tied for 38th after rounds of 90 and 94 (+40) at the Schreiner Spring Shootout. Freshman Clair Kirby of Dallas led the Crusaders with a two-day total of 191 (94-97) at the Schreiner Spring Shootout. Junior Abigail Hayes of Centenary finished tied for 19th with her teammate Shannon Orlopp as the duo both fired two-round totals of 190 (+46) at the Pinecrest Invitational.
